Wooden machinery, often called baroque machinery, consists of different parts that are rigged together depending on the needs of the moment.
To experiment, we developped a series of construction drawings and additional documentation materials.
You will find:
- Winch
- Shaft and drum
- Triple speed drum
- Cloud set
- Substage wagon
- Double substage wagon
- Cassette
- Sliding floor
- Counter weight set
- Wheel block
- Cleath rail
- Flying wagon
Each construction drawing includes a materials list, detailed plans and a construction guide. For more complex equipment, you will find also 3D drawings in Sketchup and foto or video documentation on the use.
Additionally to the equipment above, you will need rope, some standard pulleys and some structure (scaffomding, risers, ...) to fix the equipment on. To get a better insight in the scale or demonstrate flying, drawing models or Barbies are a usefull addition.
If you want to document the functioning in public presentation, you could use the Wood and Canvas posters.
The different parts can be built as a full scale one to four model (as above) or a separate smaller units (as below).
