A small stage, which had only been in use a few days. Burnt at 5.30 p.m. Fire caused through carelessness with the gas. (English)

Burnt at 7 p.m., before the admission of the public. The fire was most likely due to the flaring up of a gas light. Nothing saved. Several houses were also destroyed. Some of the actors were dressing, and of these eight were killed and twelve injured. (English)
