No heritage stage machinery 1835: agrandissement de la scène par A. Payen, 1844: agrandissements et embellissements du théâtre par F. Partoes, 1860: nouvelle décoration par P. Wilbrant, de 1881 à 1886: lourdes transformations par P.-V. Jamaer avec nouvelle façade 1898 et 1911, divers agrandissements, 1920 travaux provisoires d urgence, effectués par la firme Chambon, à partir de 1933, remise en état complète du théâtre par F. Malfait, de 1955 à 1957 derniers gros travaux, concernant la cage de scène et les escaliers de secours. (English)

AAC architecture: Le projet initial de restructuration du théâtre était relativement ambitieux. Toutefois, ce programme n’a pas reçu un accueil favorable de la Commission des Monuments et Sites. La Direction du théâtre préférait également “une restauration à l’identique”. Nous avons donc établi un dossier d’exécution pour une rénovation complète à l’identique comprenant des interventions contemporaines ponctuelles. Les interventions ont porté sur la modernisation de l’éclairage, l’accessibilité aux P.M.R., le placement d’un ascenseur, la rénovation et l’intégration des techniques, des sièges, du bar et du mobilier, ...
