Funded by her mother Frania Lee, heiress to the Hunt Oil fortune. Opened 26 Oct 1966 as Theatre Atlanta with Peter Shaffer's The Royal Hunt of the Sun. 1982 renamed Center Stage, 2001 renamed Earthlink Live, 2007 renamed CW Midtown Music Complex, 2009 renamed Center Stage again. After 1982 used for theatre and various other events, including a wrestling TV show from 1989 to 1996. Currently mainly used as a music venue. (English)
