Poli and renamed Poli's Grand Theatre. 1926 major rebuilding and extension by Thomas W. Lamb (3500 seats), re-opened as Fox-Poli Palace Theatre. 1928 renamed Loew's Poli. 1967 renamed Showcase Cinemas. Closed 1998. 2002 acquired by the Worcester Center for the Performing Arts organization. Subseqently major renovations, converted into a performing arts center. Re-opened 14 March 2008 as Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts after a corporate sponsor. 2300 seats. (English)
