Home to the Boston Symphony Orchestra until 1900. 1900 converted into a vaudeville theatre. 1906 renamed Orpheum Theatre. 1916 rebuilding by Thomas W. Lamb, re-opened as Loew's Orpheum Theatre. Used as a cinema until 1971. 1971 reopened as a music venue named Aquarius. Later again renamed Orpheum Theatre. Used as a rock music venue. 2700 seats. (English)
