Built 1963 by Herbert Rimpl as Aula der Staatlichen Ingenieurschule Gauß, an auditorium and multi-purpose hall of an engineering school (later known as Beuth Hochschule). Later renamed Max-Beckmann-Saal in honour of the German painter, Max Beckmann (1884-1950). Since 2003 home to the Musiktheater Atze, a children's and youth musical theatre company. The complex contains a main theatre hall (480 seats) and a studio theatre (150 seats). (English)
