Built 1830 by Pierre-Aimé Renous. 1857 and 1889 renovations. Various renovations in the 1920s and 1930s. 1958 converted into a 700-seat cinema, destroying the theatre auditorium. Closed 2002. 2007 major rebuilding by Jean-Pierre Logerais, only preserving the façade. Reopened 11 Sep 2007 with a concert. The building contains two theatre halls (583 and 120 seats). (English)
