Note

Antico teatro storico, eretto nel 1691 dall’arch. Pietro Mauro e completamente ricostruito nel 1847 dall’arch. Vincenzo Ghinelli. Distrutto da un incendio nel 1863, è stato nuovamente ricostruito su disegno dell’ing. Carlo Petrini nel 1884. Da allora ha subito solo alcuni restauri. Viene utilizzato saltuariamente per spettacoli musicali e teatrali. Appartiene al Comune e fa parte dei teatri compresi nell’area di servizio del Teatro Stabile dell’Aquila. Ha una capienza di 1000 posti circa e vi sono annessi i locali del Circolo Gentile con vasta sala per balli, concerti e conferenze. (Italian)
