E’ un capace teatro storico la cui costruzione risale al triennio 1799- 1801. Ne furono architetti Antonio Selva per l’interno e Matteo Pertsch per la facciata. Più volte restaurato e rinnovato, ha una capienza di 2.000 posti circa. Appartiene al Comune dal 1861 ed è oggi la sede dell’omonimo En­te Autonomo che vi organizza re­golari stagioni liriche e concertisti- che. Vi è annesso un museo tea­trale. (Italian)
