Built 1913 by Bertie Crewe as a music hall and variety theatre. 2245 seats. Later mainly used for drama and comedy performances. 1969 converted into a television by the BBC, 1973 to a radio concert hall (BBC Concert Hall). Home to the BBC Concert Orchestra. Closed Dec 2005. 2007 sold to a church (which never used it). Ca. 2018 used as a mosque. (English)
