Built 1884-1885 by Konstantin V. Tersky and Fyodor O. Schechtel (facade) as a rebuilding of an existing building, for the German-Russian theatre impresario, Georg Paradies (1847-1901). Opened as Teatr Paradiz, also known as Internationalny Teatr and Nikitsky Teatr. Currently home to the Teatr imeni Vladimira Mayakovsovo, named in honour of the Russian poet, Vladimir Mayakovsky (1893-1930). (English)
