Opened 1907 as Majestic Theatre. 1350 seats. 1913 renamed Lorain Opera House. Also used as a cinema. 1918 rebuilt and renamed New Lorain Opera House. 1922 rebuilt and reopened as State Theatre. Destroyed by a tornado on 28 June 1924 when a neighbouring building collapsed onto the theatre, leaving 15 people dead. Remains demolished in favour of the Broadway Block building. (English)
