Built 1933-1935 by Marcel Oudin and Raymond Esparseil, replacing a former theatre (built by converting a Jacobine church in 1797). Opened as Théâtre Municipal. 1350 seats. Later renamed in honour of the French actor and theatre director, Jean Alary (c.1927-1984) (English)
