Statements
Cinema, built by Thomas W. Lamb. Opened 28 Dec 1917 with the film A Modern Musketeer. Site of world premieres of major movies from 1930s to 1972. Converted into a twin cinema in 1981. 1984 renamed United Artists Twin. Closed June 1987. Subsequently demolished in favour of a skyscraper. (English)
