Built 1907-1910 by Giorgi and Rognoni. Opened Oct 1910 with Giacomo Puccini's opera Manon Lescaut. After 1945, more and more used as a cinema. From 1979, used as an adult cinema, but also until 1984 for theatrical productions. Closed 1984. From 1996 major rebuilding. 2012 damaged by an earthquake and subsequently closed. (English)
