E’ un elegante teatro storico eretto nel 1831 dall’architetto Maurizio Storcia. E’ stato restau­rato in questo ultimo dopoguer­ra ed ospita oggi regolari stagio­ni di prosa, concerti e spettacoli lirici. E’ il più importante teatro della provincia dopo quelli di Torino. Appartiene al Comune ed ha una capienza di 600 posti. (Italian)
Built 1833-1834 by Maurizio Storero. Opened 5 July 1834 as Teatro Civico. 1922 renamed Teatro Giacosa in honour of the Italian poet and librettist, Giuseppe Giacosa (1847-1906). (English)
