Built 1893 by Edward William Mountford as Battersea Municipal Buildings and Town Hall, the administrative centre of the Borough of Battersea, with a Grand Hall (with a pipe organ). From 1974 used as a theatre named Battersea Arts Centre. From 2007 major renovations. Grand Hall severely damaged by fire in 2015. Subsequently rebuilt; re-opened 2018. (English)
