Statements
Built by Frank Matcham. Opened Sep 1907 as Willesden Empire Hippodrome Theatre, a music hall and variety theatre. 1908 renamed Willesden Hippodrome Theatre. 1983 seats. 1927 rebuilding. 1928-1929 and 1930-1938 used as a cinema. Destroyed by bombs in August/September 1940. Remains demolished 1957. [1960, the office block Harlesden House was built on the site.] (English)
