Cinema and vaudeville theatre, built 1926 by Thomas W. Lamb for the Loew's theatre circuit. opened 3 April 1926 as State Theatre, also known as Loew's State Theatre. 3335 seats. Renovated in the late 1980s and renamed State palace Theatre. Used as a music and rave venue in the 1990s. Damaged by the 2005 hurricane Katrina flooding. Closed and abandoned. (English)
