Performing arts centre of the University of Cape Town, built by Jack Barnett. Opened 1 Aug 1977. Named after the former mayor of Cape Town, William Duncan Baxter (1868-1960) who had left money to the University of Cape Town to fund a theatre building. The complex contains three halls: Main Theatre (665 seats), Concert Hall (638 seats) and Golden Arrow Studio (172 seats). (English)
