Built by Charles Garnier as a part of the casino complex (the casino in the left wing and the theatre in right wing share a common entrance). Opened 25 January 1879 with a gala performance. Currently used for opera performances (in winter) and an annual spring festival, Le Printemps des Arts Monte-Carlo. 600 seats. (English)
