Built 1899 by Henri Eustache (as a part of nearly constant rebuildings of the Casino from 1880 until 1909; the French premiere of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde took place in 1897 in the former theatre of the casino, built by Abel Boudier). Opened in June 1899. Since 1960, also known as Théâtre du Casino du palais de Savoie. 900 seats. The theatre still contains most of its original wooden stage machinery. (English)
