Antico bel teatro storico, eretto dall’arch. Pietro Ghinelli fra il 1822 il 1827. Ha subito restauri nel 1861 e nel 1927. Un tempo famoso per le sue stagioni liriche, è inagibile dall’ultimo dopoguerra. Un suo generale restauro è da tempo annunciato, ma deve ancora iniziare. Appartiene al Comune ed ha una capienza di 1000 posti circa. Vi sono annessi i locali dell’Istituto Musicale « Pergolesi » e dell’ex Casino Dorico con un vasto salone per concerti e feste danzanti. Built 1822-1827 by Pietro Ghinelli di Senigallia. Opened 28 Apr 1827 with Rossini's operas Aureliano in Palmira and Ricciardo e Zoraide. Destroyed by bombs in 1943. Further demolished by an earthquake in 1972. After reconstructions, re-opened 13 Oct 2002 with a gala concert. Used for drama performances by the Teatro Stabile delle Marche company. 1057 seats.
