Artistico teatro storico, eretto fra il 1780 e il 1788 dall’architetto Giu­seppe Pistocchi. Ha subito restauri e modifiche al proscenio e al log­gione nel biennio 1852-53. Attualmente ospita regolari sta­gioni liriche di prosa e un’annuale rassegna nazionale del teatro dia­lettale. (Italian)

Built 1788 by Giuseppe Pistocchi. Auditorium terracotta reliefs by Antonio Trentanove. Opened 12 May 1788. 1826 rebuilding by Filippo Antolini and Antonio Argnani. 1903 renamed in honour of the Italian opera singer, Angelo Masini (1844-1926). 500 seats. (English)
