Built 1862-1864 as a restaurant with a theatre hall and function rooms. 1909-1910 rebuilding and extension of the concert and theatre hall by Wilhelm Jost. Damaged in World War II. Subsequently rebuilt. Theatre destroyed by fire in 1980. Subsequently rebuilt; re-opened 1985. Operated as part of the Dolce Hotel. Theatre hall also known as Dolce Theater or Jugendstil-Theater. Originally 1400 seats, currently 720 seats. (English)
