Opened 1910 as the cabaret La Truie qui file. Later renamed L'Araignée and Le Porc-épic, L'Épatant and Cabaret des Truands. 1922 converted into a puppet theatre and renamed Théâtre des Deux Ânes (an ad-lib name owed to the fact that the two owners could not come up with a name and hence named it after themselves as two donkeys). From 1928 used as a music venue. (English)
