Performing arts and convention centre, built 1977-1982 by Edvard Ravnikar. Named Kulturni Dom Ivana Cankarja (later shortened to Cankarjev Dom) in honour of the Slovene writer and political activist, Ivan Cankar (1876-1918). The complex contains the main hall Gallusova Dvorana with 1545 seats, three smaller halls (562, 253 and 212 seats) as well as various smaller convention rooms. (English)
