Theatre and cinema, built 1926 by Thomas W. Lamb (replacing a former Proctor's Theatre and incorporating the Art Theatre, built 1911, as entrance wing). Opened 27 Dec 1926. Closed in the 1970s. 1977-1979 renovations. Re-opened 1979 as a cinema and performing arts centre. The complex contains the main historic hall (2738 seats), GE Black Box Theatre (450 seats) and 440 Upstairs (100 seats). (English)
