Note
Built 1931 by Bruno Taut as assembly hall and gymnasium of the grammar school Walther-Rathenau-Gymnasium. 1946 converted into a theatre. Opened 21 Oct 1946 as Stadttheater Senftenberg. 1959 renamed Theater der Bergarbeiter (Miners' Theatre). Until 1993, used for drama and ballet performances by the resident companies and for symphony concerts. Since 1993, used for drama performances by the resident company. (English)
