Opened 24 Mar 1894 as B. F. Keith's New Theatre. Used as a vaudeville theatre. Ca. 1928 sold to the Shubert organization. Re-opened 1 Apr 1929 as Apollo Theatre, later renamed Lyric Theatre. In the 1930s converted into a cinema, re-opened as Normandie Theatre. Later renamed Laffmovie Theatre. Demolished in the 1950s in favour of a parking lot (later used as a site for an extension of the Boston Opera House, formerly the B. F. Keith Memorial Theatre), with only the entrance in Washington street remaining (currently used as a shop). (English)
