Arts center, built by Moshe Safdie. Opened 16 Sep 2011. Named after Muriel Kauffman (1916-1995) whose fundation funded the building. The complex contains two halls: Muriel Kauffman Theatre (an opera house with 1800 seats) and Helzberg Hall (a concert hall with 1600 seats). Home to Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Kansas City Ballet and Kansas City Symphony. (English)
