Flying an angel.

Bishop Abraham (Abrahamius) of Suzdal traveled to the Council of Florence, held between 1431 and 1449. During his travel he visited several church plays. He made an enthusiastic and detailed description of the Florence sacre rappresentazioni, the mysteries depicting the Annunciation and Ascension, called the letters of Suzdal. These letters are a rare source about the, by definition temporary, mideavel technology used to fly people.

The 3D models in the internal documents are based on this descriptions, the acompagning text documents the research that lays on the basis of these drawings. You can download them, view with a Sketchup viewer or even adapt them yourself.
