Introduction
An event or fact is a only once happening activity or “thing that happens”.
Below you find all the properties, explained in the context of this page. If you click on the title, you get more information from the Property page.
Header
Label*
- The name of the event as it is known now
- This will only be translated if the organisation itself uses a translation of their name.
Description
- You can give a short (max 30 words) description.
Also known as
- This field is used to facilitate searching.
- When other or previous names are used for the same event, you can add an alias
- In case of previous names, clarify in [Context]] property
General information

- The field the event is performed in
Field Value list (Q37)
Type of information (P11)*
- Is always “event”
- Type of event (P60)
- Refers to the type of event
- This is a obligatory qualifier

Importance (P20)
- defines how important this collection is for the history of technical theatre, it is used to select items for large visualisations.
Importance value list (Q8)
Context (P47)
- Can be used to give more information about the event, the importance, etc.
- Text length is limited, if needed add a second value.
- Language is mandatory (fill the language of the text.)
- If the information is retrieved from an existing source, add a qualifier source (P63) or source URL (P64)
- Context can also be used as a qualifier to give detail about a specific entry in a property.

- This is a link to a wiki-page that will appear on top of the page, with more detailed information about the person.

- For example the decision to organise something
Relations
Took place in (P226)
- refers to the place where the event happened
- Vallues can be buildings, or geographic areas like cities, countries, etc.
worked here (inverse property label of Has worked in (P227))
- Refers to an person that worked for the event.
significant person (inverse property label of Was significant person for (P87))
- A person that had a significant influience or attribution to the event.
- Add information on the person side.
- Describe the significance in a context (P47) qualifier.
See also (P22)
- Refers to other items that are related to this event, but where there is no property to relate them.
- The property works both ways (The inverse label is also "see also".
Media
Image (P2) or Internal image (P24)
- A picture representing the event.
- An [image] refers to a picture in the wiki repository of images (commons.wikimedia.org) You can link by copying the name of the file from wikipedia or from the repository.
- An [Internal image] refers to a picture in our own repository. Upload the document first and copy the link here. (You have to be sure that the picture is open source.)
- Wikicommons images are preferable
- if you add a qualifier Instance of (P1) with value “featured image" (Q105), the picture will show automatically on top of the page.
Youtube video (P116)
- A video on youtube about this event.
- If the video mentions multiple persons, businesses or subjects, make a separate source for it and use the mentions property to refer to the person.
- Copy the string after ?v= in the Youtube url and paste it in the [Youtube video] property.

- A video on about this event.
- If the video mentions multiple persons, businesses or subjects, make a separate source item for it and use the mentions property to refer to the person.

- The city where the event took place.

- A web resource that is used as an information source for this item.
- If specific information is retrieved from a source, add this property as qualifier
is mentioned in (inverse property label of mentions, P78)
- describes the source a busness is mentioned in.
- the input is done on the source side.
