Introduction
Time frames are used for selection and showing a specific series of items on a timeline. They give users more context and can be useful for buildings where exact dates are not available.
Time frames can include general history frames, art time frames, technical timeframes or local ones. We chose to define 10 general time frames as part of the value list, but you can add timeframes for your own specific use, without adding them to the value list. (They will show up in the list below the value list (Q30.
Specifically for documents, we want to clarify that the time frame is the period the document is about, and not the period of publishing!

Basic information
Field (P19)*
- Mainstream time frames will relate to general history, but others could refer to a specific field. (for example the “electrical era” would be connected to “general technology”.)

- The [type of information] is always "Time frame"
Importance (P20)
- Defines how important this Time frame was for the history of technical theatre, it is used to select items for large visualisations.

- Do not add timeframes to the value list, this is used only for the mainstream 10 Time frames.
- Other time frames can be used by just adding them directly to the property in a specific item.
fade-in date (P6)
- Often the start of a time frame is not clear, regional dependant or agreed on, this property helps to set “the first occurrence” in addition to an agreed starting time.
start time (P38)
- This is the agreed starting time.
End time (P39)
- This is the agreed ending time.
Fade-out date (P17)
- Often the end of a time frame is not clear, regional dependant or agreed on, this property helps to set “the latest occurrence” in addition to an agreed ending time.

- other properties can be added to cocument the time frame and give it context.
