Theatre built 1862 (instead of a Saint Louis church that was planned for decades but never actually built). 1878 bought by the city of Pau, which converted parts of the building as its new town hall. Theatre closed 1968 due to safety reasons. Re-opened 1984. Ca. 300 seats. (English)
