Built 1914-1915 by A. I. Kuznetsov. Opened 17 May 1915 as Narodny Dom (People's House), a community centre with a theatre hall, a ballroom and a library. After 1917 renamed Rabochi Dvorets (Workers' Palace), Dvorets Profsoyuzov (Trade Unions' Palace), Klub im. Karla Marksa (Karl Marx Club), Krayevoy Dramatichesky Theatre (Regional Drama Theatre), Teatr Muzykalnoy Komedii (Theatre of Musical Comedy) and Stavropolsky Gosudarstvenny Krayevoy Teatr Operetty (State Operetta Theatre of the Region of Stavropol).
