Built 1851-1852 by Illing as Stadttheater for the city of Neisse. Opened 14 Oct 1852 with Karl Gutzkow's Zopf und Schwert. 1922 alterations. 1927-1929 alterations. 785 seats. Destroyed by war in 1944. - [1960 a house of culture was built on the site, later named Nyski Dom Kultury im. Wandy Pawlik in honour of the Polish writer, Wanda Pawlik (1926-1983).] (English)
