Concert hall complex, built by Hubert Bennett, Jack Whittle, F.G West and Geoffrey Horsefall as part of Southbank Centre. The building contains a shared foyer and two concert halls: Queen Elizabeth Hall (originally 1106, now 917 seats). Named in honour of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022). Opened 1967 with a concert conducted by Benjamin Britten. Purcell Room (372 seats). Named in honour of the English composer, Henry Purcell (1659-1695). (English)
