Aftonstjärnan [Gothenburg, SV] (Q24282)

The Aftonstjärnan association was founded in 1892 and soon afterwards its own association house was built on the present site. The house was on one level and basically housed a single meeting room.In June 1902, the association house burned to the ground. But already in August the construction of a new house was started and on 1 March 1903 the house was completed. The house housed the present stage, built as a viewing box stage. In 1992 the stage was widened during the major renovation and in 2006 it was given its present form with a newly built proscenium.In 1910, the first of all the houses on Lindholmen, electricity was brought into the property, which was of course celebrated with a big party. In 1915, the next big event was the acquisition of a film projector and screen, and regular film screenings could begin with piano accompaniment. (English)

Föreningen Aftonstjärnan bildades 1892 och man uppförde strax därefte ett eget föreningshus på nuvarande plats. Huset var i ett plan och rymde i stort en enda samlingslokal.I juni 1902 brann föreningshuset ner till grunden. Men redan i augusti var man igång med att bygga ett nytt hus och 1 mars 1903 var huset färdigt. Huset rymde den nuvarande scenen, byggd som en tittskåpsscen. 1992 breddades scenen i samband med den stora renoveringen och 2006 fick den sin nuvarande utformning med ett nybyggt proscenium.1910, först av alla hus på Lindholmen, drogs elektricitet in i fastigheten, vilket naturligtvis firades med stor fest. 1915 var det dags för nästa stora begivenhet, då införskaffades en filmprojektor och en filmduk och regelbundna filmvisningar kunde inledas med pianoackompanjemang.
