Semi-open-air theatre, built 1997-1998 by James Polshek, replacing a former theatre on the site (opened 1968), mainting the stage and backstage areas of the previous building. Opened July 1998 with Puccini's Madama Butterfly. Named in honour of the American conductor John Crosby (1926-2002), founder of Santa Fe Opera, and his parents. Used by the Santa Fe Opera summer festival. 2128 seats (+ 106 standing). (English)
