First NYCO performance: Ginastera's Don Rodrigo on 22 Feb 1966. 1982 acoustical rebuilding by Philip Johnson and John Burgee with Cyril Harris. Renamed David H. Koch Theater on 25 Nov 2008 in honour of the sponsor and extreme-right political donor, David H. Koch (1940-2019). Home to the New York City Opera (until 2011) and the New York City Ballet. 2755 seats. (English)
