Built 1899 by Ernest A. E. Woodrow, replacing the Oriental Palace of Varieties. Opened 1899 as Camberwell Palace. 1553 seat (+ standing). 1932 renamed Palace Cinema. From 1943, again used as a live theatre named Camberwell Palace Theatre. Closed 28 Apr 1956. Subsequently demolished. (English)
