The neorenaissance building for Hotel Otava was built in 1857 by architect C. J. von Heideken. A small stage for amateur performances was built in 1859 at the upper floor. The first performance of Suomalainen Teatteri took place in this building on the13th of October, 1872. The stage was torn down in 1891 when a third floor was added. Hotel rooms were built in the place of the stage. The present owner is the town of Pori (e.g. HR department situated in the building).@en , Hotelli Otavan rakennus Porissa valmistui 1857, arkkitehti oli C. J. von Heideken. Toisen kerroksen saliin rakennettiin jo 1859 pieni näyttämö seuranäytäntöjä varten. Siellä järjestettiin Suomalaisen Teatterin ensimmäinen esitys 13.10.1872. Näyttämö purettiin 1891, jolloin taloon rakennettiin kolmas kerros ja toisen kerroksen tilat muutettiin hotellihuoneiksi. Samalla rakennus sai uusrenessanssiasun. Vuodesta 2006 rakennus on ollut virastokäytössä. (Finnish)
