The theater is a beautiful neoclassical building designed by Ystad first city architect Peter Boisen and inaugurated 1894th The theater rises majestically over the small terraced houses at Skanssinkatu diagonally across from the marina. The theater has an authentic during the stage machinery as it is generally looked at all the country’s 1800 Century theaters. In Sweden, only the Drottningholm Theatre and Ystad theater that has been working stage machinery that makes it possible to give the 1700-century theater in an authentic way. (English)
