Built 1898 by W. G. R. Sprague. Opened 1898 as Coronet Theatre. 1143 seats. Converted into a cinema in 1923. 1950 renamed Gaumont Theatre. 1977 renamed Coronet Cinema (399 seats). Closed 2014. Purchased by the Print Room Theatre, renovated by Studio Indigo and re-opened as Coronet Theatre. - [Another Coronet Cinema operated in the Elephant and Castle area of the London Borough of Southwark from 1981 to 1999, was then converted into the nightclub The Coronet and closed in 2018.] (English)
